Time flies when your having fun!

We are well into the 3rd month of the year and I have some catching you up to do ;)

January we began with a party! Anna our youngest turned 5. Yes we do the Pinata :)

Our family and friends came out to join in on the celebration...

These are the moments memories are made of...

Now we have a sang here in our home... and it goes as follows below:

So... we try to abide by these principals... a picture is worth a 1000 words, right?

This is my natural made for the stage child! She may very well be on T.V.
I'm thinking a news anchor!

She's a sweetie, full of love and friendly...

You can just see the effect she has on people :)

...but we aren't all play, we also get serious when it comes to learning...

......

.....
As a mom I had to get real serious about one thing we all have to overcome...

The illness bug that always tries to invade our happy bodies!
I've come to this conclusion: We need to be proactive when it comes to caring for our bodies.
So what is this mama gonna do! Become a student of course! I am on a passionate journey in learning all I can about caring for the gift God has given me, life, and this includes my little ones, my husband and you all my friends! I plan to share my journey with you all!
...
These are a few things our home has incorporated:

The ingredients on the left are used for a healthy drink, and those on the right for relief of a cough.

Its simple:
For the drink: 8oz of warm to boiling water, 1 tablespoon of raw honey, 1/8 of a teaspoon of cinnamon and 1tablespoon of Bragg's apple cider vinger
For the cough remedy: 2 tablespoons of water and honey, 1 tablespoon of the apple cider vinger, and 1/4 of the ginger and cayenne pepper.
I try, as a rule of thumb to use organic products and as for the water, I use spring water.

...

Every morning I serve my husband and I, 2oz of low-pasteurized cold milk, mixed with 2 teaspoons of the green formula, 1/2 teaspoon of the vit. B complex and 2 drops of vit D...
...
Every night each family member gets 1 teaspoon of Omegas through this oil:

I hope in the next few months, as I share homeschool/homemaking and family life with you all, to break down the benefits of incorporating all these foods into your diet.
...

I am now exploring natural ways to clean and disinfect my home:
Here I have 1/2 a cup of Hydrogen peroxide to 40 drops of lemon essential oil and the rest spring water. (I live in an area with hard water and prefer not to risk a thorough clean)

...
Our food here at home has also gone through a make over :)

Organic, Tru-organic, cage free, non-gmo, and raw are the new words in the home :)

All this makes for a happy family.......

Wow! There is so much catching up to do! Lets try to make the following quick!

This is my firefighter volunteer! God has really been good to this fine young man! I see great success in his future :)

One of our goals is to have a mother son outing once a month...

Here's a picture of all my little chickens in one sitting :)

My brother and his wife are having twins!

All this baby talk makes me want another!!
Babies are sweet bundles of love, just waiting to be held!!
Will I be able to resist the urge to expand the nest!?!

I guess we'll all have to wait and see, the Lord has great surprises for us all this year!

Homemaking, Homeschool and ?Exterior Design?...

This was quite an interesting month!!  We are working on diligence, perseverance and can someone say o-b-e-d-i-e-n-c-e!  If I'm not careful these kids can go wild on me!!

There are days, I will admit, where we are in our "pj's" all day long!!  Sigh.... May God help us! :)
.... but you know, the work gets done, we may not be orthodox, but hey, we are pressing on!! :)

This month we had a smiling visitor!  My nephew, Elijah came to have home life with us for 1 week, or at least every day until his daddy came for him at 4pm.

It didn't take him long to see who ran things around here, he buddied up with the other three and brought down the house! (hehe)  You know, kids rule here!  ;)

Aside from the hussel and bussel of ALL that makes up our world, we have embarked upon the next step of finishing our home.  Now this is a HUGE decision!  What color should we paint the house!!

Your eyes do not deceive you! YES! That is a blue in there! Hence, my concern! lol, but afraid! You all I'm sure can appreciate the seriousness of this matter, and so I need help! All ideas welcomed. :)

So this is the house:

The idea here is that the entire "stucco/siding" be ALL one color and the trim another. (Those vertical lines are part of the siding)  FYI: The garage doors (when we get to that part) will be the color of the siding and that concrete floor you see there, it is going to be stained a darkish brown.  The front door does have cedar and cedar will be added for looks on key areas of the home.  Sooner or later the concrete driveway will be extended to the front steps. (There behind the car)

In my opinion, these were safe colors.  (Above)

But a decision has to be made!!

So whats it going to be..............

Well, I still don't know...

But was thinking something along these lines....

What do YOOOOU think????

Join us as we adventure through the school year!!!

HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!

Introducing Joshua (Josh), Anna, and Victoria.  They make life interesting!!  Josh is my "keep me busy child", Anna is my "be sweet and I'll stay sweet child" and Victoria is my "wow child".
Let's start with Victoria!  She is every teacher's dream student! :)  Victoria is a diligent worker and learns with ease.  She began Pre-K at age 4 and now at age 7, entered into 2nd grade.  She loves reading, writing, music and listening to Bible stories.  Her favorite place to do her daily lessons is in our living room, go figure.
When Josh was born I gave him the nick name "Nobel".  He is a sweet heart.  Josh is motivated by accomplishment and with words of affirmation.  Here, he is writing in his 1st grade writing tablet.  He wasn't always a lover of writing, but since the start of the school year, he has been determined to get it write. :)

Our Pre-K student is Anna!!  She is a sweet bowlful of energy.  She inspires me to look for creative ways to meet her learning desires.  Anna is proof that a consistent routine with variation in teaching methods works best for fun learning.  She keeps me on my toes and on task, what a teacher and mommy helper!!

It's not "all school and no play"....      We have sports...

Baseball.....
Swimming...
Nature walks....

unexpected nature findings....

and plain oh fun times!!

Join us as we learn, live and love life together!!!
